Learn and have fun

Thanks to the 2012 Sax-Zim Bog Birding Festival, my son and I enjoyed some invaluable time together as amateur birders. Our birding hobby has grown from the backyard, to the surrounding area, to being surrounding by friendly experts and staff at an official Birding Festival. We enjoyed seeing many new birds, even though we are from the surrounding area. We plan on adding a few more when we attend again at the 2013 Sax-Zim Bog Birding Festival in February. I’m particularly thankful to all those at the festival and on the buses who welcomed my son and made him feel like part of the group despite the age difference. Thanks to Helen, David, Mike and Jeff for putting together and coordinating such a high caliber event. I encourage parent(s) to bring their children for a real-life adventure with devoted, expert staff to learn and have fun.
